Horseback Riding is a healthy sport that anyone can learn, it promotes confidence and responsibility. Read what one mom has to say about the life education her child received from riding.  The instructors at Cavallo Farms teach responsibility for the horse and excellence in horsemanship. Cavallo Farms maintains lesson horses for beginner and advanced students who do not wish to buy or lease.  Our trainers are qualified to teach students of all levels and ages.

Cavallo Farms offers lessons for the novice to the advanced rider.  With three instructors, Cavallo Farms can offer ample individual attention.  Our professionals are experienced and well educated in all aspects of horsemanship and the Hunter/Jumper discipline with an emphasis on safety and fun.

Our goal is to help you attain yours, whether you want to pleasure ride or compete successfully in the hunter, jumper, pony, or equitation ring.  Our professionals have also successfully coached Eventing riders for their stadium jumping competition.

Cavallo Farms offers both private hour long and ½ hour lessons, group lessons, and a combination of both in our unique lesson plan.  Our professionals teach you on your horse or ours and on and off the property.

See Price List for all prices.

First time beginners do not need to have anything to start; we supply everything you need.  However, you will need to wear long pants and some good soled shoes,  preferably with a little heel.  We have the horses, tack, helmets, you name it.  What you read on this website concerns the lesson program which is for intermediate and advanced riders.  We have a dedicated beginner instructor; all beginner lessons are $45; private and an hour long.  We teach horsemanship as well, so your first lesson will be predominately on the ground going over leading, grooming and tacking up.  An older student will most likely be able to come early for their second lesson and do most of this work “on their own” (there is always someone around).  Most students take one lesson per week but we should be able to accommodate as much as you would like to do.  Just give us a call to set up a lesson.

We encourage you to add your favorite photos to our Dynamic Web Gallery Albums and view our Archive Photo Albums

Adult Only Lesson Plan

Cavallo Farms is proud to have an active and fun group of adult riders.  The Adult Only plan is the same as the regular Lesson Plan with the addition of group lessons that are restricted to adult riders only.  At least once per month, a “Happy Hour” adult only group lesson is scheduled in the evening and the riders stay after and socialize in our lounge.

Little Bits

A class designed to give your little one a “leg up” in the horse world in a small group setting to introduce 3 – 5 year olds to horsemanship and riding in a fun and relaxed setting.  The class may last  up to 1 ½ hours long with no more than four children.  This class meets once a week.

The professionals at Cavallo Farms are available to give clinics.  With experience in providing fun and educational clinics, your riders are sure to have a great time.  Let our experience come to you.  Contact us for more information or to schedule a clinic on your property.
