Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Teams

Opportunities for Riders: Grades 4–12

Cavallo Farms is proud to coach three Interscholastic Equestrian Association teams. The IEA experience offers collegiate style competition for our local 4th through 12th grade riders. Not only do these kids receive all of the benefits of working with horses, they get to experience it in a team atmosphere. Two of our local schools are promoting equestrian sport by offering a team experience. Many of our riders have gone on to ride for both Intercollegiate teams and NCAA Division 1 teams in college. Horse ownership is not required.

The IEA offers additional education and training to our national competitors as well as an avenue for those not able to compete on the national level. Cavallo Farms was the first to offer IEA riding in our area and our teams and riders routinely compete in post-season competition, including national finals where our riders have achieved awards.

One of our goals at Cavallo Farms focuses on providing an introduction to the equestrian world for even the youngest of riders. This means offering riding opportunities for all youth, regardless of financial means or equestrian background. To help facilitate this process, Cavallo Farms is proud to participate in IEA at the middle school and high school levels.

Thinking about joining our IEA team?

IEA is a great way for kids from grades 4–12 to get team experience while learning to ride and compete in shows. Getting a head start with riding lessons will be key to ensure admission into an IEA program. In order to join, a rider must be enrolled in formal riding lessons for a minimum of one year prior to joining an IEA team.
